Which Saudi visa do you need?
The main routes our clients use, with who each is for, rough cost, and what you'll need. Fees and eligibility change and the final decision rests with the Saudi authorities, so treat this as a guide and confirm current requirements before applying.
Tourist eVisa
Visitors from ~60 eligible countries (incl. the UK, EU, US). The simplest route for most of our clients.
- Cost
- Approx. SAR 535 (~£115) all-in, including mandatory insurance and VAT.
- Validity
- One year, multiple entry; up to 90 days per visit (180 days total per year).
- Covers
- Tourism, ziyarah, and Umrah. Not valid for Hajj.
What you need
- Passport valid at least 6 months
- Digital passport photo
- Payment card for the fee (insurance is bundled in)

Umrah visa
Pilgrims travelling specifically to perform Umrah, arranged through an approved agent or the Nusuk platform.
- Cost
- Visa fee is modest and often bundled into a package; costs vary by provider and season.
- Validity
- Typically up to 90 days, multiple entry; you can also visit other cities.
- Covers
- Umrah and travel within the Kingdom. Separate from Hajj.
What you need
- Passport valid at least 6 months
- Photo to specification
- Meningitis (ACWY) vaccination certificate
- Booked through an approved Umrah operator / Nusuk
How to apply: Processed via Nusuk or an approved operator. If you're travelling on a package with us, we handle this route for you.
Transit visa (up to 96 hours)
Passengers transiting on Saudia or flynas with a qualifying stopover.
- Cost
- Free.
- Validity
- Up to 96 hours.
- Covers
- A short stay that also permits Umrah during the transit.
What you need
- A qualifying Saudia / flynas transit booking
- Passport valid at least 6 months
How to apply: Requested when booking the qualifying flights, or via the airline / eVisa portal.
GCC resident visa
Residents of GCC countries in eligible professions.
- Cost
- Approx. SAR 300 (~£65); check the current figure when applying.
- Validity
- Short-stay visit; confirm the current terms.
- Covers
- Tourism, ziyarah, and Umrah.
What you need
- Valid GCC residence with sufficient remaining validity
- Passport valid at least 6 months
How to apply: Apply online via visa.mofa.gov.sa or the eVisa portal.
Hajj visa
Pilgrims performing Hajj, in the Hajj season only.
- Cost
- Set through official Hajj packages; varies by country quota and operator.
- Validity
- Season-specific; for the Hajj period and designated areas.
- Covers
- Hajj only. It is not a tourist or year-round visa.
What you need
- Booking through an approved Hajj operator / official portal
- Passport valid at least 6 months
- Required vaccinations
How to apply: Allocated via official channels (Nusuk / approved operators) during the Hajj season.
